History of The Wicked Wedge Pizza Co. Ltd. History
The Wicked Wedge was conceived in 1995 in Calgary, Alberta as a single restaurant located on 17th Avenue S.W. The Wicked Wedge was incorporated in 1996 as a gourmet Pizza restaurant serving customers a variety of high quality gourmet artisan style single slice and whole pizzas.


Unique Features
The Wicked Wedge continues to be people's favorite pizza location. A unique location of Wicked Wedge allowed for significant drop-in traffic throughout the day and evening. Space limitations created the unique eating concept in the area. Guests stand up and mingle with other customers rather than the traditional sit down restaurant or more basic pick-up only restaurant. Space Restrictions partly shaped the customer base, as patrons knew high quality take out pizza was available in a casual setting throughout the day and into the evening.


Why?
Wicked Wedge was an initiative when it was identified that Calgary did not have a high quality eat in or take-out location for the Artisan style pizza of the 90's. As tastes changed and customers became educated to a variety of food options, the traditional plain bread two topping pizza no longer met everyone's needs. The Wicked Wedge was the first of its kind in Calgary creating an outstanding business through excellent food, prices, service and convenience. We use only the freshest and finest ingredients to create our healthy and unique pizza. The Whole Wheat crust and homemade sauce style blended with herbs, prepared fresh everyday, is the secret behind our top quality pizza.

Wicked Wedge has been voted best pizza in Calgary for 8 years running by the readers of FFWD Magazine.





Wicked Wedge was voted Best Pizza in the City of Calgary via an audience poll on the Calgaryplus.ca website.



Wicked Wedge is Calgary's Top 20 overall pizza winner in the Eric Francis Pizza Pig-Out Contest and Fundraising event for the past 7 years by the Calgary Sun.
